About Mrs. Hippie Makes
A one-woman workshop on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, making things by hand and putting your name on them.
How it started
It started with wood burning — a pen, a piece of wood, and a lot of patience. That turned into burning designs onto felt hats, and from there into stockings, stuffed animals, earrings, ornaments, candles and just about anything else that will hold a design.
Everything is made one at a time, by hand, in Gulfport. Nothing is mass produced, and no two pieces come out exactly alike — which is rather the point.
How a custom order works
Most of what I make starts as somebody’s idea. Here is how that usually goes.
1. Tell me your idea
Message me on Facebook, call, or send an email. A rough idea is plenty to start with.
2. We sort the details
Size, colors, wording, the design itself, and what it will cost. No surprises later.
3. I make it by hand
It ships or gets picked up when it is done.
